Your $165.00 one time gift allows one child to attend Oakbrooke's Sports Camp and VBS for one week!

A team of twelve men and women from Oakbrooke Bible Church will return to Chernobyl for the second year in a row to host a Sports Camp and VBS for the Children of Chernobyl in the Village of Maksymovichy, just 30 kilometers from the reactor site. This area has been devasted by the nuclear accident that occured there in April of 1986. Hopelessness and depression have turned the hearts of the people cold and angry against God, and yet they have been extremely responsive to the gospel.

We have two goals for our return trip this year during July 18 - 28:

1. We want to reach the men of Maksimovichy with the gospel. To that end we are sending a specially trained team of men from Oakbrooke to lead Bible studies each day which are especially focused on the addictions the men of Maksimovichy face.
   
   
2. We want to soldify what we began last year with the children of Maksymovichy, engaging them in the deep truths of Scripture, clearly presenting the gospel, and hosting a Sports Camp focused on soccer, given the fact that the popular Euro2012 Soccer Tournament will take place in Kiev on July 4th and the whole country is talking about it!
