Joseph Atwell
Pastor of Christian Education / Youth |
| Joe and his wife, Michelle joined our staff in May, 2010. Joe leads our Christian Education ministries which includes specific oversight of our high school youth ministries. In addition to his responsibilities at Oakbrooke, Joe is the Men's Program Director at Grace Centers of Hope in Pontiac. Joe and Michelle have two children, Grace and Jack. |
Gene Austin
Pastoral Care |
| Gene and his wife, Jan have been members at Oakbrooke since 2002. He serves as a lay elder with oversight of our pastoral care/visitation ministry. |
Dane Bezemek
Pastoral Care / Youth |
| Dane and his wife, Beth, have been at Oakbrooke since 1998. They lead our junior high youth ministries. They have four children: Allen, Emily, Dani, and Catie. |
Jon Busch
Director of Worship |
| Jon and his wife, Anne, have been at Oakbrooke since January of 2003. Jon is responsible for leading our congregation in worship during our Sunday services. In addition to his responsibilities at Oakbrooke, Jon is also heads the music department at Southfield Christian School in Southfield, Michigan. |
Paul Edwards
Teaching Pastor |
| A native of Detroit, Paul accepted the call to be the teaching pastor at Oakbrooke in October of 2001. He has served churches in Michigan, Indiana, and Texas. He is married to Terri and they have two children, Jessica (married to Brian Thweni) and Joel, and a beautiful granddaughter, Isabella Grace. |
